2009 TRAC 10K, 5K & 3K Family Fun Run
The 2009 TRAC 10K, 5K and 3K Family Run took place Sunday, May 24.
2008 TRAC 10K
The 2008 TRAC 10K took place on May 25. There were 169 entrants, and $5,300.00 was raised. Attendance was same as last two years, but revenue was up due to more sponsorship. Food, prizes and organizational aspects went very well, and we had about 25 volunteers help at the event.
The weather was cool and windy, and it rained before and after, limiting the growth of the event this year. The TRAC 10K has a strong "brand" and is well known in our communities as a great event for both 5K and 10K runners along with the 3K walk for families, so there is big upside for the future. I believe we would have grown by 50 to 75 entrants this year with better weather.
Key positions need to be filled for next year. TRAC is recruiting volunteers for Publicity and Promotions, Food and Prize Organizer, Volunteer Co-ordinator, and Sponsorship Recruiter. Training will be provided.

Terwillegar Park
About 225 people attended the two Terwillegar Park open houses to review the 2 design options and offer preferences, questions, concerns, priorities, etc. to the design team.
